If an item is defective or has failed from normal use, we will stand behind our product’s integrity and function. After all, we want you to be happy with how your COMMONER purchase wears and ages. That said, please remember that leather will distress and change over time, and therefore we cannot guarantee the item against normal wear, misuse, or overexposure to the elements.

When you purchase from our online store, we collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, email address, and credit card information. You provide this information so we can process and ship your order ONLY.

We encourage you to register for our email list. We will provide you with advanced notice of any sales, new arrivals, and other COMMONER related events. You can easily remove yourself from the email list at anytime if desired.

COMMONER only charges sales tax on orders sent within the state of New York. If you have any questions about this, please let us know.

Returns & Exchanges

At COMMONER we take great pride in what we make. We thoroughly inspect, photograph and package each item before it is shipped. If it has our logo we are confident it will meet or exceed your expectations. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your COMMONER online purchase, you can send it back to us for an exchange or refund:

Returns must be postmarked within 30 days of the original shipping date and should be sent prepaid. We will not accept CODs.

All merchandise returned must be unused, in original condition, and with the tags intact.

Please indicate on the back of your invoice form the reason of your return so we can better serve you in the future.
Packing slips are required for all returns. We recommend that you return the package back to us via traceable carrier and that you insure the full amount of the merchandise you are returning. We are not responsible for missing packages.

If you receive a damaged, defective, or mis-shipped item, you must notify us within 3 days of receiving the product to be eligible for a return. Damaged items will be returned at our discretion. We have the right to deny credit if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements.

If you receive a package from us that looks damaged to the extent that the merchandise may be damaged, refuse delivery and let us know by email immediately.

Please allow 1-2 weeks for the processing of your return/exchange from the date we receive your package.

Full-price merchandise returned after 30 days and before 60 days may be exchanged for online store credit only. Merchandise returned after 60 days will be issued online store credit at the current selling price.

*All online Custom Embossed Items and any Sale/Clearance purchases including temporary promotional purchases are final sales.


We are happy to exchange items within 30 days of purchase, provided the item is unworn and in new, original condition, and is accompanied by a copy of original online sales receipt.

A return shipping charge will apply for all exchanges, with the exception of defective items.

Include your name, address, phone number, email address, and the name of the item you would like to receive in exchange. Please return item using a traceable carrier that provides a tracking number, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.


All orders are shipped via UPS or by USPS.

* The rates for shipping and handling for the lower 48 states will be determined at checkout.

All of our items are made by hand and are made to order. If an item is in stock, we will do our best to package and ship the item the same day we receive the order. Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email confirmation reviewing your order details.

Also, we are not responsible for lost items, stolen packages, or incorrect shipping addresses. In other words, check your order carefully before finalizing it.

International customers are responsible for all customs duties and related fees.


COMMONER ships partial orders. If you order several items, we will ship them immediately and will ship any outstanding or backordered items as soon as they are complete.


For all online orders, you will be emailed at the time of shipment with a shipping confirmation and UPS or USPS tracking number.
